If you are driving your own car, please be aware that parking in the center of Faro is paid during day time (except Sundays and a good part of Saturdays).
You can always stop in front of the house to unload your luggage if you wish to drive farther for a free parking lot. In that case you should head to Largo de Sao Francisco (Google Maps or other navigation software will show you how to get there). This is a wide free parking area, usually with available spots, located 600 meters from our house (walking).
If you chose to pay for parking, it costs 0,20 Eur for 15 min; 0,80 Eur for 60 min; 1,90 Eur for 120 min; 3,40 Eur for 180 min. You cannot leave the car parked for more than 180 min.
Parking is free every day from 19:00 to 09:00, Saturdays after 13:00 and Sundays the whole day.
